Opera II (6.61)

The latest release of Opera II (6.61) includes new releases of PIM (1.81) and Executive Dashboards (2.02) and also includes the Online Filing Manager (2.71) and Document Management (2.02). The Sales Management group of modules; SPM, SPM Remote and Service and Helpdesk Management, have been renamed as Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

Opera II (6.50) builds on the success of our latest modules; Sales Pipeline Management, Executive Dashboards and Document Management. With three brand new modules, functional enhancements and more functionality, Opera II (6.50) is not to be missed.

  • Opera II (6.12)

    The release of Opera II (6.12) extends the functionality of Sales Pipeline Management, Executive Dashboards and Document Management. The release includes:

  • Sales Pipeline Management - (SPM) Remote
  • Executive Dashboards - Twenty new ‘out of the box’ Dashboard items
  • Executive Dashboards - support for Windows Vista (Business and Ultimate Editions)
  • Document Management – SPM integration and further integration with Sales & Purchase Ledgers
  • This release also includes a number of enhancements and software change requests. SPM Remote will allow users to work offline with SPM and other Opera II related data with synchronisation of the SPM data back to the main system via a virtual private network (VPN) or local area network (LAN) connection.

    Opera II Version 6

    Opera II Version 6 delivers more functionality, further enhancements and two new modules to the end-to-end solution; Executive Dashboards and Document Management. Executive Dashboards: Put yourself in the driving seat - This new module for Opera II provides a visually stunning presentation of key business information in real time through a wide range of user selected formats, with powerful drilldown to underlying data. This allows the management team to easily identify trends and issues and take immediate action. Document Management: The paperless office is now a reality - Document Management is a complete image capture and file management system that retains all your essential documents and stores them electronically, for instant access.

    Opera II 5.50

    The release of Opera II 5.50 includes a new module for Opera II, Sales Pipeline Management (SPM). This release also includes a number of software change requests.  Opera II Sales Pipeline Management: A complete end to end business solution - This new module for Opera II allows customers to enter prospects, convert them to customers and manage the relationship process through the whole sales cycle. This also includes the ability to forecast against your sales pipeline and report on individual customer profitability, all from one solution.

    Opera II 5.13.00

    Opera II (5.13) has been updated to include the new HM Revenue & Custom (HMRC) regulations for Reverse Charge VAT. HMRC introduced new legislation for the VAT treatment of mobile phones and computer chips. Businesses who buy or sell computer chips or ‘Pay as you go’ mobile phones, and the invoice value exceeds £5,000, will need to comply with the new legislation. The new legislation is effective from 1 June 2007 until April 2009. At that time, the UK government will need to apply to the EU to extend or amend the regulations.

    Opera II 5.12.00

    Financial Management -

  • The Nominal Ledger Company Consolidation now includes journal numbers from source Nominal Ledgers when consolidating to the target company. This means that the transactions in the target company can be easily reconciled back to the original source company.
  • Quantities can now be included on Invoices or Credit Notes in the Purchase Ledger, and are also included on various views and reports. Supply Chain Management
  • You can now define whether dormant stock items are included on the Theoretical Stock report.

  • Administration -
  • You can now define whether fonts are embedded in PDF reports created in Opera II. If fonts are not embedded, the sizes of PDF reports can be smaller than when fonts are embedded, saving disk space on your computer.
  • Opera II 5.11.00

    Financial Management -

  • The BACS capabilities in the Purchase Ledger, Cashbook, and Payroll modules have been enhanced to include the HSBCnet banking product from HSBC.

  • Supply Chain Management -
  • Stock management has been enhanced so that a change to a stock item or product’s description can now also update linked Special Price lists with the same description.
  • Returning all stock when posting a Credit Note in SOP and Invoicing is much easier by the addition of a new menu item called “Return All”.
  • Each customer record can now have its own specific Special Price List. You can now use up to eight characters in Special Price List codes in SOP and Invoicing, the same as Customer Codes in the Sales Ledger.

  • Reporting -
  • EC VAT transaction capabilities have been enhanced to allow a second digit of 7 or 8 in the Nature of Transaction code. - A second digit of 7 is required by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) for transactions that must be declared on Statistical Declarations (SD) but must not be included in boxes 8 or 9 of your VAT return. - A second digit of 8 is required by HMRC for transactions that must be declared on your VAT Return in either box 8 or 9, but is required on the SD for reconciliation purposes only.
  • In line with HMRC guidelines, commodity codes must now be either 8 or 10 digits in length.
  • The format of VAT registration numbers for Bulgaria and Romania, new members of the EU, are now checked to ensure they are valid.
